Dirty Bird
Born amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Blinking Owl Distillery showcased remarkable adaptability by pivoting its operations to address the critical shortage of hand sanitizer. In response to the urgent need, we swiftly introduced Dirty Bird hand sanitizer to the market. While this wasn’t an exercise in high design, it exemplified our resourcefulness and grit—especially when the supply chain was nearly impassable, and finding packaging solutions felt like an impossible task. Embracing a whimsical yet impactful approach, we created a playful moniker, "Don't be a dirty bird, wash your talons," which not only communicated the importance of hand hygiene but also brought a sense of levity to an otherwise trying time. This creative pivot demonstrated our ability to think quickly, develop effective packaging under immense constraints, and maintain a sense of humor and brand consistency, even during a global crisis.
